Venta was formed in 1998 by Garry MacLaren after  breaking loose from his role as Marketing Director of Shiloh Healthcare, where he spent 11 years.

The concept was simple – to offer realistic & real life marketing support to companies that needed help in keeping and attracting profitable customers.

Since then we have been asked to provide all types of business support to our customers which we have delivered by bringing in specialists to help on specific projects

Garry is a Chartered Marketer with over 35 years Sales and Marketing experience in healthcare, food, industrial, sports and micro businesses.

As a Marketing consultant he has advised and supported 100’s of businesses in all aspects of sales and marketing.

Some of his ‘voluntary’ roles have  included:

  • Honorary President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) North West Regional Board
  • Chairman of CIM North West Regional Board for 6 years
  • Member of NWDA’s Regional Marketing Forum
  • Chairman of Private Sector Partners NW

Languages and Social Media Specialist – Jill MacLaren BAJill MacLaren - Venta GB

Jill is  graduate in Modern Languages, CIPS qualified with many years experience in purchasing and commercial functions in a variety of roles.

She has worked within manufacturing, service industry in both large and small business environments.

Previous roles have included:

  • Community Relations Officer  at  Manchester Airport
  • Buyer at Manchester Airport
  • Licensee for  La Jolie Ronde teaching French and Spanish 


Web Creative & SEO Specialist – Joe Scales MABNLP, MABH, MTLTAJoe Scales

Joe has a 20 year history working in Media and the IT sector. He has worked as Web and Graphic designer and been Marketing Manager and specialist internet consultant to various large organisations within the health and Leisure industry.

Being a master Coach and Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) he has been able to incorporate these skills alongside his technical and marketing skills to increase many companies’ profits and profiles.

His skills include an extensive knowledge of SEO/PPC technologies and various Web and Graphic development tools such as – Dreamweaver, Photoshop, illustrator, flash Xara and wide-ranging usage of various SEO software and Google analytical tools.
